Happy Holidays!

With Christmas right around the corner, this last week has been a whirlwind of last-minute shopping. I'm ecstatic to announce that I am officially DONE, but now comes the tedious task of wrapping and labeling everything, and then cooking and baking, baking, baking. I'm looking forward to spending time with my loved ones, eating good food, having fun, and watching the joy on people's faces as they open gifts. My favorite time of year! This may be my last post until after Christmas, so here's an early HAPPY HOLIDAYS from me to you!

In the meantime...some goodies...

Report Signature Clarkson (So sparkly!! Gorgeous in person...)

Sigerson Morrison Studded T-Strap Flat (My new favorite flats!)

The Report and Sigerson shoes are SOOO gorgeous in person! I would highly recommend you get them (or ask Santa for them)! The Ingelmo's I ordered yesterday so they're not here yet. I also considered getting these, but I didn't really think I would wear them enough:

Here are more pairs I ordered...
Lovely People Mariel in Taupe & Purple

I ordered a TON of stuff from Ideeli, they have such great prices and a wide selection. I can guarantee you will find at least something that appeals to you, since they always have so many sales going on at once! It is my new obsession!! I purchased the above Mariel shoes in two colors, as well as many handbags, clothes, and other gifts. My only gripe is that they don't offer free shipping, but the $9.95 flat-rate is justifiable considering how great their prices are.

Endless was having a boot sale, so I had to take advantage of it by finally getting the red pair of the Diba boots that were out of stock at DSW when I bought the other two colors. I got the FLY boots mostly to wear as work shoes, but I think they're cool and have that edgy moto-look that will still be versatile.

(a.k.a. "Cat-Face Wedges")

I finally gave in and bought these. I know they're horribly expensive, but I had to have them in my collection. I had been searching high and low for the black version of these, but can't seem to find them anywhere! Selfridges did have them, but they are all sold out. :(

I am also thinking of purchasing these...what do you think??

Hope you all have a safe and happy holiday!!

Another Frenzied Haul...

Also available here (where I got them), and here (in different colors)

These three were purchased from DSW. I realized that I still had a Triple Points Premier card that is only good through the end of the month, so I decided to browse and see if there was anything I liked. Lo and behold, they had the gorgeous mary janes I've been wanting, and the last one in my size! Between the 3 pairs I ended up purchasing (would have been 4 if they had the red version of the Diba shoes available), I put my points card to good use!

I know I'm still mad at Steve Madden, but what can I say. I had wanted these for a while (need more casual shoes) and they were on sale at Endless here. Their customer service is better AND they have cheaper prices for these! Win-win.

Purchased these from Barney's (shortly after my last post) because I couldn't resist the great price and the fact that they had my size. I just realized both of my Miu Miu purchases today are purple pairs! I actually found a green version of the Side Bow Sandal at Nordstrom here but they were quite a bit more expensive. I also think the purple is prettier.

Okay, hopefully I won't be bombarding you with new purchases for now, I'm running out of funds! LOL. Later!

Designer Sale

Ever since I went on my Miu Miu binge yesterday, I've been obsessed with looking for more designer duds. I know, they are quite a bit more expensive than the usual stuff from shoes stores Bakers or DSW...and truth be told, you can usually find cheaper versions of shoes inspired by the high-priced designs and get more for your money. I try to keep my designer purchases to a minimum and only commit to things that are timeless and classic, or just plain unique. Here are some things I'm coveting, though (and all of these are on sale):

(The reason I bought the JC's yesterday...)
(I will be getting these in purple...only $279!!)
(He's such an artist...)
(If only these were a brighter color, and closed toe...)
These are TO DIE FOR. Ugh, they don't have my size...but reduced to $189!!

So many great sales going on right now. But I'm sure you're all being good and buying gifts for others instead of browsing for shoes for yourself. :)

It Was Inevitable

I got myself all worked up about the whole Steve Madden thing, so I needed a distraction. Look what happened:

These were purchased from Shopbop.com and they are having a great sale! All of their 50-70% off sale items are an additional 20% off with code "EXTRA20" through Thursday, 12/15/11. Tons of great shoes, bags, clothes, and accessories for sale! Go check it out.

Next...

I got these two from Bluefly.com and these were on sale for 30% or more. I also saved an extra $40 using coupon code "DEC40" - you can also try "GIFT40" as I believe the first one only works for new customers. I've actually been a customer for a long time, but I typically look but don't touch. Today was an exception. I covet these and needed an extra boost of retail therapy! I actually really want the gold version of the double-strap pump, but the pink is still pretty...and available. I waited too long for this particular season of MIU MIU and missed out on all of the ones I wanted. I hate paying full-price, so I wanted to wait for them to go on sale. I learned my lesson that sometimes when you really want something, you just gotta jump on it!

So much for my wallet vacation. I think I jinx myself every time I say that. Look where it got me! But on the bright side, I have a lot of pretty shoes coming my way!

Steve Madden Customer Service

I have been shopping at Steve Madden stores for a long time and have since accumulated many, many pairs of his shoes. They're always reasonably priced and right on trend, which is why I favor them. They have always had great sales on top of it, too. It seems like recently, within the past year, their sales have become a lot more restricted and their customer service has slipped.

As you know, I recently went on a shoe spree and bought about 9 pairs of SM shoes through their website. They put my orders "on hold" as a security precaution and I had to call them to validate the sale - understandable, right? You'd think that since it had been 3 days since I placed the orders, that they would be ready to ship out right away after I called them...not to mention that those items would have been placed on hold as well. Some of the items still are in "processing" and haven't been shipped out, and 2 of the pairs I ordered have been cancelled (COLOSSUL in Cognac and WOAH in Black Sequin) - these were the two that were the last pair available. I can only assume that they have since been sold to another customer because they didn't think my purchase was valid, being that the orders were on hold.

I'm a bit miffed at their nonchalance about the whole ordeal. I'm not sure if I would purchase online from them again. As mentioned before, their sales pretty much exclude all of their new arrivals and popular styles, and I can often find the same pairs for cheaper on other shoe sites that have MUCH better service (ie Zappos, Endless, etc). Steve Madden, DO BETTER.

Obsessed!!!

I have been on a binge...but this is probably the last of the shoe purchases for a while. I almost blew a hole in my wallet this past week!! But it was fun. :)

From Bakers:

Still ended up passing on SUSIE, though I still want them. I have been lacking some more casual shoes though, so I went with Kingston instead. Plus I figured getting two high-heeled ankle boots was too predictable for me.

From Steve Madden:

I haven't even received my gold version of XTRA yet, but I decided I wanted the black ones too. I wasn't originally keen on the suede bottoms, but upon viewing some pictures of others wearing them I couldn't resist. As for the KENNYYA, I just love the playfulness of them! They're definitely not normally the type of shoe I wear, but they're so fun!

I have been spending so much time on SM's website and buying so many pairs lately that they actually called and e-mailed me. LOL!! I feel flattered that they're watching out for me. I hope I receive my shoes soon! I am in the process of turning my spare bedroom into a massive walk-in closet, so I'm pretty excited about how it's going to turn out...and the thought of filling up all the space! Stay tuned.

More from Steve Madden...

I already own this style in black and I decided I needed the blush as well. I also have the one from Bakers with the glitter and black lace. I'll end up owning all colors of the rainbow in this shoe if they keep making them. I love them that much. HELP!!

Very similar in silhouette to my leopard pony hair WICKED, which are very comfortable and easy to walk in. This sequin pair is even more fun! Very glam.

I just love the retro shape and the purple suits this style really well, in my opinion. I also like the black, but waited too long to get those and they're now sold out in my size.

I also ended up getting the last pair of COLLOSUL in the Cognac color. I usually go up 1/2 size for boots but these are a whole size larger. Keeping my fingers crossed they're not too big!

Rush Hour Madness Sale

Steve Madden was having a Rush Hour 25% off sale, so naturally I took advantage of it.

Pauline

Okay, so I've joined a shoe club called ShoeMint. I'm sure some of you have already heard of it, and I'm a little bit late on being "in-the-know" about it. I don't normally do shoe clubs because I don't like the idea of having to remember every month that I have to choose a shoe or else they charge my credit card (I'm horrible with e-mail) and I've heard a lot of horror stories about the quality that you get, etc. All those reservations and preconceived notions aside, this site seems promising. I love Steve Madden shoes, and I love Rachel Bilson's style. I went ahead and made my first purchase. Keeping my fingers crossed! $80 per shoe seems a bit steep, but it all depends on the quality and craftsmanship - if they are as well made as they claim, it may be worth it. So far, though, the selections are pretty copy-cat to what is available on other sites. The Pauline that I purchased, for example...there was an extremely similar pair on Bakers for a while, but they were available in black and leopard - not in the wine color that I got. And, of course...there are shoes pretty close to Edith and Jolly on Steve Madden's site.

There is a picture of Rachel sitting in a chair with shoes all around her, and there is a pair that I am eyeing and am hoping it won't take too long for them to be released! In the meantime, I need to save up $240 to get them all. :)

More from Bakers

I couldn't pass up such a great deal, so I got two more pairs. These are real leather and got a lot of great reviews. I was originally going to get SUSIE but I decided these looked more interesting. I ended up getting both of them for less than the price of one. I hope they look as cute in person! I have to refrain from buying any more shoes until I get rid of some first. I'm running out of room! :)

Wild Pair

I finally decided to get these after eyeing them for so long. Bakers was offering a phenomenal sale!

SAVE25 to take $25 off $100 order
Additional 25% off sale-priced items
Stack savings with your B-Card

All said and done, I paid about $111 for all three pairs. I'm so excited! I'd heard about a lot of these being shipped with defective heels - I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they've fixed that problem by now. Fedex Man, please hurry!!
