Platforms Make My Feet Happy

It's been a couple of weeks since I purchased something and I've been doing good...but then I got a bunch of gift cards and promo codes, so I broke down today. Woot woot!

I have seen the DAISY 2 on Bakers' website many times, but never quite decided if I liked them enough to warrant buying them at full price. They have since been reduced to $39.99, which is a much more affordable and appropriately priced for a trendy shoe. The platform is super chunky and the look overall is very retro, but they're adorably funky.

DSW is offering a free tote for all purchases over $29 for Premier members right now, so I wanted to take advantage of it. The heel height is lower than what I usually like for heels, but I think it is appropriate for the sweet and feminine style of this shoe. So pretty! Love all of the detail on this. I have a wedding coming up, this would go perfect with the fuchsia dress I am going to be wearing! Super girly fun.

Steve Madden Clearance

There are a few great styles left in the clearance section at Steve Madden's website - they are reduced an additional 30% off. I just bought two, because they won't allow you to use coupon codes or get free shipping with clearance items. I typically don't buy from SM's website unless it's a style that is exclusive to the site, because I find all of the restrictions annoying. Anyway, here is what I got:

I'm not typically a huge fan of "flatforms" because I think they look like cinder blocks on your feet and not attractive at all...but for some reason these intrigue me. I'm not sure what makes them different. They're cute in an ugly way. Or ugly in a cute way?

I'm thinking that $54.99 is a bit steep for Payless shoes, even if it is a designer collaboration. Maybe I'll wait and see if they go on sale. In all honesty, I could probably find something I like much better for the price of both of these. I'll have to wait and see what happens!

As many of you probably know, Jason Wu for Target launched today. I was excited to get the cat tote and scarf, and wanted to try on a lot of the clothing items. Unfortunately, I ended up going into work this morning, so by the time I was able to stop by a few Target stores...a lot of it was already sold out. There were only a few varieties of clothing left, and all of the accessories had sold out within the first 30 minutes of Target opening this morning at 8:00 AM. Craziness!! I should have asked if there were going to be more shipments coming in, but I was so bummed I didn't even think about it. Here are some pieces I did walk out with, though:

I couldn't decide which color(s) to get, so I got all 3 in two different sizes. The sales rep said they run true to size, but since my feet are a little wide I decided to get the nude in 7.5 (also because they were all out of size 7) - I always have to be cautious with pointy-toed shoes. Since their exchanges are free, I will keep the size that fits best and send the other one(s) back for the correct size. I hope they restock the nude soon, in case that's the one I need to exchange!

I love the nude and black because they are more neutral, and I love the touch of snake print on both of them. It adds a lot of interest. As for the color-block, I kept telling myself I didn't want them. But I realized that most of the shoes I own with pops of color are all heels...so I decided I needed some colorful flats as well. They will look so cute this spring with all of my flowy dresses!! Darn ShoeMint for knowing that I like. I bought four pairs from them already in two days. LOL.

I got mine at Nordstrom because I get points there and I can return them for free at the store. Bakers is priced higher, but they have all three colors. Nordstrom did not have the leopard color, but I got the other two colors (Bermuda Pink and Atlantic Blue). If either the JS site or Bakers has a sale this weekend, I may get the leopard as well. Love!!!
